Some disputes need a lawyer. When yours does, we say so and introduce you to one, and we don't get paid for doing it.
Satisfy is not a law firm
Most of the disputes we take on resolve without anyone going to court. Some don't. When an advocacy file needs a civil claim or arbitration, that is an attorney's work rather than ours.
So we stop, tell you plainly, and introduce you to an independent law firm licensed in your state1.
We are not paid for law firm referrals
We receive no fee, commission, or consideration of any kind for introducing you to a law firm.
That matters more than it might sound. An advocate paid per referral has a reason to hand you off early, and a reason to recommend the firm that pays best rather than the one that fits your situation. We have neither. Our only path to being paid beyond engagement costs is obtaining redress for you ourselves.
What happens if your advocacy file needs a lawyer?
A referral is the last step of our process, not the first. Most advocacy files never get there.
We stop, and we say so
Carrying on with advocacy that needs a court would be taking your money for something we can’t finish.
Your file goes with you
The contract, the payment record, the timeline and the correspondence, already organized. That is attorney hours you don’t pay for.
Only once we’ve run out of room
We hand a file on when advocacy has genuinely gone as far as it can, never because it turned out to be hard work.
An independent firm decides
The firm makes its own decision about representing you, and any engagement is between you and that firm.
How an introduction works
An introduction is only ever to a firm licensed in your state, so it reaches someone who can act on your advocacy file rather than a national directory listing.
